I hope you all had a wonderful Chag. Many of you will recall that last year’s AGM was held late, in the autumn instead of its usual time shortly after Pesach. As the next AGM will be in 2025 some of you made the very sensible suggestion that we have an interim meeting to update you on progress and give you an opportunity to provide feedback.
At the meeting we will: provide an update of main events since the last AGM including the Rabbinical Couple; discuss the feedback we have received on downstairs women’s seating – it has been mostly favourable and we will put forward a resolution seeking your agreement to make it available every Shabbat; outline options for the pews. Following feedback given at the meeting we will narrow the choice to two or three options for further investigation for members to vote on; explain the position on our financial reserves and the resolution of the discussions with Head Office. There will also be an opportunity for you to give feedback.
